ABSENT 668 [great grandsire of Magdan]

 

The famous dressge horse, Akhal Teke "668" Absent,  his greatest achievement was in  1960 when he won GOLD for the USSR at the Rome Oympics under Sergai Filytov and recevied the highest pionts of any dressage horse at the Olympics to date.

Subsequently, he won Bronze in 1964 at the Mexico Olympics and then the team Gold under Ivan Kalita in Tokyo 1968.

 Apart from dressage Absent also had an aptitude for jumping and is said that he could jump 1m 80! Although his breeding career was relatively short, he represents most of the ARAB "26" line.

 By the end of his competition career, ABSENT had won six Olympic dressage medals, more than any other horse.

Arab Participatid in flat races.
Participation in legendary ride from Ashabad to Moscow in 1935 (4300 km in 84 days)
Participation in show jumping and eventing competitions, as 16 years old overcame height 2,19 m (at that time Russian National Record)

175 Melekush was the last son born to 2a Boinou, born in fact the year following Boinou's death. He has one of the most popular names in the MAAK Studbook.

The line of 175 Melekush was continued through his sons Mele Kur and Suncheli, and especially through Suncheli's line-founding son Sapar Khan, q.v.
